Great shoe, fabulous price August 23, 2010 Tina Marie Lowenthal Marc - I searched the web for a week to find the absolute lowest price and found that the prices ranged from $145+ [...] to $96.00 on Amazon. Went to the local New Balance store to try on the shoe and was amazed on wonderful it fit. True to size and width (spot on!). Probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever tried on. I have a small foot 7.5 4/5E with bunions and the shoe was incredible. I asked the store owner if they matched prices and they said they wouldn't. I then went online and ordered the shoe from Amazon at the 96.00 price but was surprised when I checked out that I received an additional 20.00 off. Who could have imagined getting this shoe for 50% off retail. I'm so thrilled with the price that I'll be ordering one more pair, one for home and the other to keep at work when I go for a walk.
I'd highly recommend this shoe and specifically ordering from Amazon. Both and absolutely wonderful.
Ankle Rescue August 10, 2010 M. Kisco (Livermore, CA USA) I'm in my 60's, finally injured myself two years ago walking more miles that I should have.
Acquired a Posteria Tibal dysfunction that trashed my left ankle.
After months in a cast and rehabing, I put on these shoes, and I got a fantastic fit that was pain free.
Great on the motion control too. The width is a "2E" this time. I was using an old pair of these shoes before the injury that was 4E, but looks like the new models are a tad wide in each size. If they had a "3E" width, that would of been the ultimate. Anyhow congrats to NB, and got a great price.........
excellent choice for the severe over pronator with flat arches August 5, 2010 Daniel E. Rodell I have a hard to find size in any shoe (i.e. 12.5 B). In addition, I am a severe over pronator with flat arches. There are only 2 choices: NB1123 and Brooks Addictions 9. Althought both are excellent, NB gives slightly better support although it is slightly more expensive.
MR1123 July 12, 2010 CBabs Having extra wide feet (EEEE) and being a over-pronator I have difficulty in finding comfortable shoes. I'm not a runner, but do walk 3+ miles daily and find my feet and legs do not get as stressed as with other shoes. This is my third pair.
Pronaters note June 29, 2010 Bill I have worn the 1123 since it was introduced and am currently on my fourth pair. The model that it replaced was recommended to me by New Balance, as the best for those who pronate heavily, and I consider the 1123 a superb replacement.
